Riccar Tandem Air Deluxe Upright Vacuum

Riccar Tandem Air Deluxe Upright Vacuum

The Riccar Tandem Air Deluxe model R30D.6 uses a two-motor cleaning design to handle deep carpet fibers, delicate area rugs, and bare floors. Its sealed filtration setup pairs a self-sealing HEPA media bag with HEPA and granulated charcoal filters to control dust and pet odors.

Features & Package Options

• Tandem Air Dual Motor System: Operates two distinct motors simultaneously to combine direct-air carpet agitation with bypass tool suction.
• Multi-Stage Filtration: Uses a self-sealing HEPA media bag that traps 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, alongside a HEPA media post-filter and a granulated charcoal filter for odor control.
• Hall Sensor & Lifetime Belt Protection: Detects brushroll jams instantly and stops rotation to protect the reinforced belt from stretching or snapping.
• Durable Metal Construction: Features a chrome brushroll with replaceable brush strips, metal bottom plate, aluminum handle tube, metal cord storage hook, and metal upright stop for long-term service.
• Six-Position Height Adjustment: Adjusts manually across six carpet pile settings, from extra-low to extra-high, to match low-pile rugs or thick plush carpeting.
• Surface Control Switch: Changes motor performance with a flip of a switch to shift from deep carpet cleaning to gentle bare floor sweeping.
• Integrated Cleaning Tools: Includes a telescopic aluminum wand with a curved handle, stretch hose, and onboard cleaning attachments that extend reach up to 15 feet without tipping the unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does Tandem Air technology clean differently than single-motor vacuums?

Tandem Air technology uses two separate motors working together: one motor pulls dirt out of carpet fibers, while the second motor drives high-velocity airflow through the filtration system and tools.

2. What should I do if the brushroll stops spinning during use?

The built-in Hall sensor automatically stops the brushroll when an obstruction occurs. Turn off the vacuum, unplug it, clear the object from the chrome brushroll, and restart the machine.

3. Does this model carry an official carpet care certification?

Yes, the Riccar Tandem Air Deluxe holds the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Gold Seal of Approval for soil removal, dust containment, and carpet wear protection.

4. Can brush strips be replaced without buying a new brushroll?

Yes, the metal chrome brushroll features replaceable brush strips that can be changed as they wear down over time.

5. How does the granulated charcoal filter work?

The granulated charcoal filter traps microscopic particles and neutralizes organic household odors, including pet odors, before air exits the vacuum exhaust.
