The Hide-A-Hose MD Metal Stub Tube is an adapter designed to help compatible central vacuum hoses fit older 1.25 inch diameter wall inlet valves. It is commonly used with Budd, Kenmore/Sears, and similar inlets that start suction when the inlet door is opened. The metal tube installs into the hose end, leaving the tapered end exposed so the hose can be inserted into the smaller inlet valve opening.
